Tan Phu District Overview
Tan Phu is one of 24 districts of the city bordering District 6, District 11, District 12, Tan Binh District, and Binh Tan District. The district is divided into 11 wards; the population (2013) was estimated to be about 442,000. The total area of Tan Phu District is about 16 kilometers squared.
Tan Phu was a ward in Tan Binh District before 1975, established by combining the Tan Son Nhi Ward and Phu Tho Hoa Ward. It later became a district on its own in 2003, and it has many historical attractions.
