VietnamTravel Tips & Info1 Week Vietnam Itinerary

1 Week Vietnam Itinerary

Seven days is not enough for you to admire all the beauties in Vietnam, but it is enough for you to get a glimpse of what this country has to offer. While you are still entangled with numerous destinations scattered over the country, we have selected some spots and suggested three itineraries for you.

Some Quick Tips for Your 1 Week in Vietnam:

Book a one-way ticket

Though humble in size, Vietnam is a country with a rich history, diverse culture, and endless magnificent landscapes. It is quite hectic to squeeze all the must-dos in Vietnam in just one week. Booking a one-way ticket allows you to have a little more time to have fun instead of rushing back to your airport to return to your home country. You can easily find a plane ticket online when in Vietnam.

Good planning is key

To prevent yourself from spiraling around not knowing what to do next in such a limited amount of time, look up the hotels and transportation tickets before you travel. See also the To-pack list for Vietnam.

Estimated average budget for one day of traveling in Vietnam (not including the cost of transportation between the cities): VND 2,000,000

The suggested itineraries below are designed so you can gain as many experiences in Vietnam as possible during your limited visit. Therefore, in case you feel overwhelmed by the amount of traveling you will have to make in between the cities, feel free to skip a destination or two so you don’t have to rush yourself and forget about the purpose of having fun.

Option #1: Explore Vietnam Highlights for the 1 Week Itinerary in Vietnam
(Saigon, Danang, Hanoi)

Day 1 – 2: Arrival and Tour in Saigon

With hundreds of years of history, Saigon offers you many artifacts from the Vietnam War and architectural sites of the French colonial time.

Since your schedule for the 1-week itinerary in Vietnam is quite tight, our recommendation is to join a day tour in Saigon with local guides. That’s the only way you can scan through the main attractions of the city while still learning and experiencing the authentic side of the biggest metropolitan in Vietnam.
